| “When you first use them (Sam Bats),
it’s a totally different feel from a normal bat. After you use them you
don’t want to go back.” Joe Carter – the New York Times, 6-19-‘98 |
| “The old (ash) bat dents when you make
good contact, which means energy is being absorbed. And you can feel it
vibrate when you connect. With the Sam Bat, more of the power I
generate is transferred to the ball. So it carries batter.” Jose Canseco – quoted in Jim Proudfoot’s column, The Toronto Star, 6-27-‘98 |
| “The Sam (bat), it’s my baby. It’s my sweet potato pie.” Royce Clayton – Texas Rangers, Sports Illustrated, September 21st, 1999 |
| “I use my bat in BP, I use it in the game. I never break it. You can’t break the Sam!” Karim Garcia – Detroit Tigers, Sports Illustrated, September 21st, 1999 |
| “ It’s like playing a Stradivarius. It just feels better.” Mike McCune – quoted in the Oct. 1998 issue of Men’s Journal. |
| "It's my record; but it's Sam's bat!" Barry Bonds, January 2002, Ottawa Press Conference |
| “Sam wants to give me the credit. But it took both of us to do it. I give thanks to God for my ability, and I give thanks to Sam for producing something that gives me a lot of confidence.” Barry Bonds – The Ottawa Sun, Canada 2002 |
| "I purchased a fungo bat from you last year and all I can say is WOW! I’ve scouted for the Phillies, Yankees, and Orioles, coached for Lebanon Valley College, Widener University and I can tell you that this is the best fungo I’ve ever used. We went to Fla. this year for our spring trip and almost every opposing coach asked to swing it. What a hit and no pun attended! I have been in baseball all my life and have made a living teaching baseball my whole adult life. Here goes, “unless someone helps themselves to my bat I don’t think I’ll ever have to replace it”, sorry for that part but it truly is that good. Sam I know I’m not Barry but I love your BATS." Doc Malloy/Hitting Instructor – July 2007 |
| "I have been using your bats for 10 years now. My dad got me a few 34's and 34.5's about 10 years ago and told the story of how these bats were being made up in Canada, by a guy who he spoke with on the phone. Well, these few bats were my prize possessions ever since I used it that first season. Everyone who picked up the bat asked what it was and where I got it. It is such a great feeling to make contact with these bats, besides looking cool with a sleek black bat with a cool logo. I always describe hitting with my bats as a hot knife going thru butter. Later on I started to see them in the MLB games. It was exciting and great to brag that I had that bat first I now have a child, and it seems to be it for my ball career which took me thru college, into one of the first independent leagues in this part of the country, and thru my wood bat summer leagues after that. I relish that in one of my last at bats I used my solid black Sam Bat to hit the longest ball I have ever hit. It is a feeling that I will never forget. And a feeling that has made it easier to walk away from playing. Now my brother has graduated high school and has started to use the Sam Bat that I passed down to him. As he starts his wood bat career this summer, during his first game, he fell in love with the same bat. I must say, its a good feeling to know the pride and effort that is put into making these bats, and I think that was brought up to the plate everytime I used the Sam. I am glad I now get to share this with others. Thank you for your bats and thank you for all the long balls and sweet spots." M. Amodeo – June 2007 New York |
| "I just purchased a SG-1 Black Walker Sam Bat and wanted to tell you how much I love this bat. I am a senior in high school and play on a wood bat league in Pennsylvania. I have about six or seven other wood bats none of which compare to the Sam Bat. I started to use the Sam Bat because I have heard about the great quality of the bat and soon found out that its true. I also love the feel and weight of the bat. Thanks for a great quality product." R. Geffert – Sept 2007 Plymouth, PA |
| "Special thanks to all of your team for a great product. Here's a little story of how a Sam Bat wanted to see some play time in the minor leagues… I bought a 29in/24oz CD1 last year for my 8 year old. In practice, he could bat really well but I could not get the coach to let him use it during the games. That was until the last game of the season at the final for the Bronze medal. We were ahead but none the less, my kid (now 9yr) was in a slump and had a hard time hitting the ball because his swing was too fast when using his regular bat. So, for his second last turn at bat, I managed to convince the coach that using the 24oz Sam Bat could probably slow him down just enough to hit the ball. He hit a liner behind left field for a double and by the same token convinced the coach that this change of stick was not a bad idea after all. For his last turn at bat of the season, my kid went back for his regular bat however, when the coach saw that, he brought him the Sam Bat telling him "This is your bat". Over the fence it went for his 12th home run of the season! Perhaps we should have let him use it sooner..." S. Labatt – Sept 2007 QC, Canada |
